Dr. Zakaria Maamar


Dr. Zakaria Maamar

Professor and Dean of the College of Computing and Information Technology, University of Doha for Science and Technology, Qatar


Dr Zakaria Maamar is a Professor in the College of Technological Innovation at University of Doha for Science and Technology. Dr. Maamar has published several peer-reviewed papers in journals and conferences, is the founder of the International Annual Symposium on Web Services (www.zu.ac.ae/wss), and regularly serves on the program and organizing committees of several international conferences and workshops. In 2010, he received an IBM Faculty Award to carry out research on social Web services. Dr. Maamar graduated for his M.Sc. and Ph.D. in Computer Sciences from Laval University in Canada in 1995 and 1998, respectively.

Dr Zakaria Maamar research interests are primarily related to service sciences theories and methods, context-aware computing, and enterprise application interoperability.

Dr. Chutiporn Anutariya

Associate Professor and Department Head in the Department of Information and Communications Technologies, Asian Institute of Technology (AIT), Thailand.


Dr. Chutiporn Anutariya is an Associate Professor and the Department Head in the Department of Information and Communications Technologies at the Asian Institute of Technology (AIT), Thailand. Dr. Anutariya graduated from AIT for both her Doctoral and Master’s studies, and conducted her post-doctoral fellowship at the Norwegian University of Science and Technology, Norway. Her research interests include data modeling and management, data analytics, digital learning and educational technology, intelligent information systems, knowledge representation and knowledge management, open data and open government data, and Semantic Web, Ontology and Linked Data Technologies.

Dr. Said Mirza Pahlevi

Head of Center for Research and Development of ICT Application and Information & Public Communication Ministry of Communication and Informatics


Dr. Said Mirza Pahlevi, M.Eng is a distinguished senior official, currently serving as the Head of Center for Research and Development, Research and Human Resource Development Unit at the Ministry of Communication and Information Technology in Indonesia. He had also served as a senior research scientist at The National Institute of Advanced Industrial Science and Technology (AIST), in Japan from 2003 to 2008.

Dr. Pahlevi has an extensive educational background in Electronics and Information Engineering, having obtained his Bachelor's and Master's degrees from the University of Yamagata, Japan, in 1990 and 1996, respectively. He then pursued his Doctor of Engineering in Electronics and Information Sciences from the University of Tsukuba, Japan, from 2000 to 2003.

Moreover Dr. Pahlevi also has made many scholarly contributions, including nearly 35 research papers about information sciences in various national and international journals and conferences.

Professor Stephan Chalup

Professor at School of Information and Physical Sciences (Data Science and Statistics), The University of Newcastle, Australia


Professor Stephan Chalup conducts research in the field of Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning. He received his Ph.D. in Computing Science in 2002 from Queensland University of Technology in Brisbane, where he studied at the Machine Learning Research Centre. Before he came to Australia, he completed postgraduate studies at the Master's level in mathematics with neuroscience at the University of Heidelberg and pursued undergraduate studies at the University of Konstanz.

Currently serving as the chief investigator of the ARC Discovery Project titled "Estimating the Topology of Low-Dimensional Data Using Deep Neural Networks," Stephan envisions the development of experimental software tools that empower individuals with the ability to intuitively understand complex 3-dimensional and 4-dimensional data that was previously beyond the limits of human visual comprehension
